Through rarely seen footage and interviews with the civil right icon himself, we examine the extraordinary life of James Meredith, a civil rights hero unlike any other. Meredith’s one-man "Walk Against Fear" to encourage Black Mississippians to register to vote, triggered the largest mobilization of federal troops on U.S. soil since the Civil War. The walk became a national event after Meredith was shot, but despite his monumental achievements, few people know who he is. Now for the first time, this trailblazer shares his own story.
